The exhibition is organized with the support of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Akimat (Administration) of Almaty; JSC "Samruk-Energy"; Kazakhstan Electricity Grid Operating Company KEGOC JSC; Kazakhstan Electric Power Association - KEA; Kazakhstan Association of Energy Auditors and the Union of Energy Engineers.

In 2012, the World Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) awarded the “UFI Approved Event” mark to Power Kazakhstan (now Powerexpo Almaty), which further secured the status of an international event.

Research and educational institutions, assembly and design organizations are invited to participate in Powerexpo Almaty; manufacturers and suppliers of electrical equipment; cable and wire products; control systems, communications, relay protection and automation; means of diagnostics and measurements; lighting products.

In 2022, 96 companies from 10 countries of the world took part in the exhibition, including Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, Poland, Russia.

Collective stands were presented by the Omsk region, the Chuvash Republic and the Republic of Mordovia.
